PC Suite

Use PC Suite to synchronize phone information with a compatible PC, install software, configure phone settings, and make backups of phone files.

Please note the following:

• select the same language version of PC Suite as your PC operating system
• install PC Suite on to the same partition as your PC operating system is (for example drive C:)
• in order to open ZIP files, you need to have a program that opens ZIP files installed on your compatible PC

With PC Suite for Nokia 6600, you can share information between a compatible PC and your phone, install software on the phone, configure phone settings, and make backups of phone files. You can also synchronise your calendar, contacts and tasks with Microsoft and Lotus applications, copy and move images on your PC and phone, and copy contacts and calendar information from another Nokia mobile phone or a Palm device*.

Software and hardware requirements

To install and run Nokia PC Suite for the Nokia 6600 phone, you need:

• A compatible PC running Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2, Windows XP, or Windows Vista*
• At least 110 MB of free disk space.

Note! We provide support only for the above mentioned operating systems that have been preinstalled by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Nokia is not able to ensure compatibility with future releases, patches, service updates or hot fixes which may directly or indirectly affect the interoperability of your phone with your PC and operating system.

To connect your Nokia 6600 phone to the compatible PC, you need to have:

• An infrared port on the computer
  OR
• A Bluetooth card or adapter and the required software, or built-in support for Bluetooth on the PC.

To be able to connect your Nokia 6600 phone to your compatible PC the Bluetooth software needs to support Serial Port Profile (SPP).

Note! Some Bluetooth driver functionality may be overwritten during the installation of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. If you experience any difficulties after installing the Service Pack, please reinstall your Bluetooth software, or follow the section "Using a Bluetooth Connection" in the Nokia PC Suite User's quick guide.

• Microsoft Outlook Express (contacts only)
• Lotus Notes 5.0, 5.02 and 6.0
• Lotus Organizer 5.0, 6.0
